‘The resting place’
It’s amazing to see where the work ends up. Some pieces are commissioned for a specific space, while other people just fall in love with a piece and find the right wall for it.
Frames
Unframed
Some pieces are intentionally unframed. These paintings just seem to work better this way. They also might have beautiful details along the painting’s edge that are part of the piece and need to be seen.
Behind glass
Any piece painted on paper or card should be framed behind glass for protection. This picture is float mounted and framed in oak. I don’t frame anything involving glass myself and would recommend taking any piece made on card or paper to a local framers.
Minimal frames
I don’t frame every piece, but for the ones I do, I tend to favour a thin edge. Every frame made by me is carefully thought out and crafted. I only frame work on board or canvas and only ones that I think need it.
